Alyssa Luisi (she/her) is a Senior Research Associate with the Resilience Catalysts in Public Health program at the Center for Community Resilience. Her research efforts support county and city health departments to identify and combat structural inequities that generate the Pair of ACEs, alongside cross-sectoral and community partners.

Alyssa is passionate about fostering effective and equitable community partnerships to address complex problems arising from unjust economic, political, and social systems. Prior to joining the CCR team, Alyssa coordinated participatory research and evaluation of community health projects with AMOS Health and Hope, a non-profit organization providing community-based primary health care services across 25 urban and rural communities in Nicaragua. One such project involved piloting an adapted Care Groups model to promote child development through responsive parenting practices and improve social support among mothers of children under three years old.

Through her previous international and domestic project work, Alyssa brings experience with Community-Based Participatory Research approaches, grants management, training and instructional design, and stakeholder coordination. Alyssa holds a Masters degree in Anthropology and Sociology from the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland, and a Bachelors degree in International Development from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
