Conner Hounshell (he/him) is a Policy Analyst at the Center for Community Resilience at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. As a member of the Policy Lab, he helps support the Center and national network in their work to address the root causes of trauma in order to foster equity and build resilient communities.Conner specifically assists with network policy support, including policy monitoring and analysis, as well as legislative research. Conner also assisted in developing the Center’s Resilience Tree, which illustrates positive outcomes produced in communities with equitable access to integrated supports that prevent adversity and promote social and economic wellbeing. He has a passion for integrating health into all policies to achieve health equity and is especially interested in community-driven policy and advocacy.Conner holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy from the George Washington University and Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Political Science from Western Kentucky University. He has participated in campaign and advocacy work around equity, specifically LGBTQ+ anti-discrimination protections, in his community.
