On October 15th, Dr. Wendy Ellis was recognized as one of 50 Changemakers of Public Health by the University of Washington School of Public Health. This year, UW is celebrating 50 years of impact by recognizing 50 alumni who have made a difference in advancing public health across the disciplines. Dr. Ellis was recognized for her research on childhood adversity and resilience, leading to the development of the Building Community Resilience process, which brings community organizing around the world to the policy level for long-term systems change, and the Pair of ACEs tree.
